Kate's NYLD Reflection

As I step into the heated hall, know one was there hello?  It was only was 5:45am in the morning so I guess know one was awake. When I walk around the hall more and more people are arriving then we call the roll.

When we hop on the bus everyone is desperate to get in there seats “Okay is everyone here”? asks Mr Kinsey. Yes!! We all reply.

Everyone is shivering from the chilly breeze outside. It was the 21 of may and everyone couldn't wait,  its National Young Leaders Day today! The teachers told us about a little bit of young leaders day they said last years group really liked it so it sounded fun!

We finally arrive in palmy "WOW" there's lots of people here says Libby, Yes there is, this year there are just over 2,500 students replies Mrs Cameron, we walk in the entranceway to the stadium and find our seats, were all at the very top so when get the best view. Below our seats is a notebook that has everyone that is going to be speaking to us today. their is Liz Alexander, Lisa Tamati, Kelly and Amanda Wilson, Jonathan Naylor and Vince Harder. I was really excited to see  some little tips to become a great leader!

At the end of the day we get a special performance from Vince (Harder) and William (Waitoa) the sang the song..... "wow-wee". After that we all hand in our notebooks to the host's Liz and Christian and walk out the door in a big rush because we didn't want to be late.

We all jump on to the bus and it went silent then to loud the silent as we calm down the whole trip. It just landed on 5.00pm we here back in hawkes bay, YAY! we all loved NYLD it was fun and can't wait to go next year.
